What Exactly Do We Offer?
Upon contacting our office, we will set up an initial interview between one of our consultants and a representative from your organization. This will be our opportunity to understand your goals for your organization and business and your primary areas of interest and for action opportunities.
From this, our team will develop a brief initial action plan which will consist of a list of suggested sources for data and a timetable for gathering more detailed information. This may include requests for interviews with you, your co-workers or employees selected by you, suggested guidelines for gathering data, or scheduling some on-site visits to gather data or observe business activities that you would like evaluated.
After the data is collected, we will engage our team to evaluate it for areas of opportunity or for further data gathering, if needed. The final step is the generation of the Opportunity Action Plan Report, which will be provided to you in the form of a hardcopy report and a one-hour presentation and question-and-answer session by one of our consultants given to you and any representatives you choose.
During the following week, a consultant will be available to answer any questions you or your representatives may have regarding the findings or process. You will be contacted again after thirty days as a followup.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services:
Q: How do I know what information I should provide? Or how or where to get it?
A: That's what our OAP Consultant is there for.
Q: Why does the process take so long?
A: You've put a tremendous amount of effort into your business or organization, and you've focused on your areas of expertise and strengths. It sometimes takes a "new set of eyes" to see potential for refinement, cost reduction, or even new business opportunities. SSG will bring to bear as much external expertise as necessary to give you the advantage that multi-million-dollar corporations have been enjoying for years. This sort of effort deserves to be taken very seriously.
Q: What if I forget something? Or don't provide enough information for SSG to "answer the right questions"?
A: Our consultants first job is to help you ask the right questions, go to the right sources for data, and to feel confident that you've fully conveyed to us how your organization operates and what you're trying to achieve. During the initial few days, we will also be available for further consultation if you feel you have more data to add.
Q: What about business information we consider sensitive?
A: SSG does not share any information regarding any clients with anyone outside SSG. This includes OAP report, conversations, data, or any resultant proposals. If your organization has concerns that need to be covered by a Non-Disclosure Agreement, you may feel free to provide it to us.
Q: If you have an idea for a new product or service for me to sell, will you design it for me?
A: We will provide a proposal to describe the intended purpose, and if requested, graphical designs to convey a concept, but we will not venture into areas that are principally your business and expertise. We consider you and your organization the experts on what you do.
Q: What if I need consultation in an area you don't cover?
A: Our job is to provide proposals and ideas, but if there is a need for information we can't or shouldn't provide, we will tell you. We won't waste your time or money or run the risk of misleading you into an action plan that is simply outside our expertise. At the same time, SSG simply pointing out situations like this can often save you and your organization much wasted time and effort by simply knowing what paths are less certain to pay returns.
Q: What are you selling?
A: SSG provides insight. The OAP report directs you to opportunities for improving what you do by addressing those things that you simply do not specialize in. We do not sell products or perform building services or recommend contractors. If you have further need for SSG services, such as to provide more details in order to pursue the implementation of one or more OAP proposals, we certainly welcome the opportunity. But we have no affiliation or interest in any businesses you choose to use to implement your plans.
Further, SSG makes no claims, legal, profit, copyright or otherwise whatsoever on the results of using our proposals. Any services we provide are limited to the materials, plans, graphics, designs or other intellectual materials needed to convey our ideas to address your needs.
